<strong>Gnanam School of Business (GSB)<\/strong> is the central academic-administrative office responsible for planning, coordinating, conducting, and administering the institution&#8217;s examination and evaluation processes.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">With the transition of GSB towards <strong>autonomous academic governance<\/strong>, the Office of the Controller of Examinations plays a vital role in ensuring that the institution&#8217;s assessment and examination system is conducted with <strong>academic integrity, confidentiality, transparency, fairness, and efficiency<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The COE works in coordination with the <strong>Academic Council, faculty members, Heads of Departments, examination committees, and other academic and administrative stakeholders<\/strong> to ensure the effective implementation of the examination regulations and academic policies of the institution.<\/p><h2>Our Role<\/h2><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The Office of the COE oversees the complete examination lifecycle\u2014from examination planning and scheduling to valuation, result processing, and issuance of academic documents.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The major responsibilities include:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>Planning and coordinating <strong>Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA)<\/strong> and End-Semester Examinations.<\/li><li>Preparing and publishing examination schedules in accordance with the academic calendar.<\/li><li>Coordinating the setting, scrutiny, moderation, and secure handling of question papers.<\/li><li>Maintaining the confidentiality and security of examination-related materials.<\/li><li>Organising examination halls, invigilation duties, and other examination arrangements.<\/li><li>Coordinating the valuation and evaluation of answer scripts.<\/li><li>Processing examination marks and preparing results.<\/li><li>Conducting result scrutiny and necessary academic verification.<\/li><li>Publishing examination results within the prescribed timelines.<\/li><li>Handling applications related to <strong>revaluation, supplementary examinations, and other examination processes<\/strong> as applicable under institutional regulations.<\/li><li>Maintaining examination records and academic databases.<\/li><li>Issuing <strong>grade sheets, transcripts, provisional certificates, consolidated statements of marks, and other examination-related documents<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Supporting the conduct of examinations through technology-enabled processes
