NEXUS – An Annual HR Conclave
The one-day HR Conclave (NEXUS 23) was organized on the college campus on 23.09.2023 at 9.30 am. Dr.R. Srinivasan Iyengar, Director, Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the conclave. He also delivered the Key note Address to the gathering.
The conclave was planned with four sessions. The first session was chaired by Dr. R. Purushothaman, Head L&D, Jiomart Digital who addressed the gathering on the topic “Managing GIG Workforce”. He discussed the format of Gig workforce. He also shared his views on advantages and disadvantages of Gig economy.
The second session was chaired by Sri. Jeeva Balakrishnan, Sr. Vice President & Chief Talent Officer, Reliance Retail Jio who delivered his address on the topic “Quiet Quitting – How Much Of A Problem Is It?”.
The next session was chaired Sri. S. Suresh, Director, SVN Consultancy, Chennai who delivered his on the topic “Acing the Interview and getting ready for the corporate”.
Earlier Dr. S. Sundar, Director, Gnanam School of Business gave the welcome address to the gathering. Sri. S. P. Selvaraj, Chairman, Gnanam School of Business Chairman presided over the function and felicitated the guests.
Faculty members from leading institutions and leading HR practitioners were the delegates in the HR conclave who shared their valuable thoughts in the forum. Around 275 students pursuing MBA and other management courses from various institutions around Thanjavur region also participated and gained the insights in the conclave.
Sri. A. Selva Vinayaga Raja, Vice President-HR, Rane Group was the chief guest for the valedictory function and delivered the valedictory address in the conclave.
Finally, Dr. Chithra Balamurugan. M, Assistant Professor, GSB delivered the Vote of thanks to the gathering.
