Inauguration of 18th Batch MBA Programme

Gnanam School of Business (GSB), an autonomous institution, inaugurated its 18th batch of the two-year MBA residential programme on August 17, 2026, marking the beginning of a new academic journey for the incoming cohort. The inauguration was held under the theme “Parivarthan – Triggering the Transformation”, reflecting the institution’s commitment to nurturing students who are prepared to lead, adapt and create meaningful change in the dynamic world of business.

The inaugural programme commenced with Thamizh Thaai Vaazhthu, followed by the traditional lighting of the lamp, symbolising the dispelling of ignorance and the beginning of a journey illuminated by knowledge and wisdom.

The event featured a welcome address by Dr. S. Anjali Daisy, Associate Professor, GSB, who warmly welcomed the dignitaries, faculty members, students and parents to the new academic year.

Delivering the Presidential Address, Dr. S. P. S. Arul Doss, CEO & Director, GSB, highlighted the institution’s vision for developing future-ready business leaders. He emphasised the importance of combining strong academic foundations with industry exposure, leadership capabilities, adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning.

The Chief Guest, Mr. V. Sivaramakrishnan, Chairman, CII – Trichy and Co-Founder/Chief Vision Officer, Bliss Tree, was felicitated during the programme before delivering the Keynote Address. Addressing the newly inducted students, Mr. Sivaramakrishnan shared valuable insights on leadership, transformation, industry expectations and the importance of developing an agile mindset in an increasingly complex business environment.

His address resonated strongly with the overarching academic theme for the year, “Lead With Agility,” encouraging students to embrace change, remain curious, build resilience and approach opportunities with confidence and purpose.

The inauguration served not merely as a formal commencement of the academic year, but as an invitation to the new batch to embark on a transformative journey—one that moves beyond classrooms and textbooks to develop competent professionals, responsible leaders and lifelong learners.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Isaac Johny, Associate Professor, GSB, who expressed gratitude to the Chief Guest, management, faculty members, students and all those who contributed to the successful inauguration.
