Prayukthi Divas – Placement Brochure Launch

Gnanam School of Business, Thanjavur, organised Career Day – Prayukthi Divas on 29 August 2026 at the GSB Auditorium as part of its continuous efforts to strengthen students’ employability, industry exposure and career preparedness.

OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

The programme was organised with the following objectives:

• To sensitise students to the changing nature of jobs and careers.
• To create awareness about the impact of Artificial Intelligence on management functions.
• To develop an employability mindset centred on skills, capabilities and measurable outcomes.
• To encourage students to acquire AI fluency relevant to their chosen specialisation.
• To strengthen students’ understanding of the continuing importance of human judgment, trust, communication and relationship management.

The programme featured a special career guidance address by Dr. Krithika Venkatraman, Ph.D. (IIT Madras), Group Manager – US Technologies, Chennai, who formally released the first copy of the Placement Brochure 2025–27 and delivered an industry-oriented session titled:

“The Next Career Decade: Work, AI & You”

The programme was conducted in the esteemed presence of Dr. S.P.S. Arul Doss, CEO & Director, Gnanam School of Business.

The session provided students with contemporary insights into the transformation of jobs, the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence, emerging career pathways and the capabilities required to remain relevant in an AI-enabled workplace.

Career Day – Prayukthi Divas was a significant industry-academia initiative that provided MBA students with a practical and future-oriented perspective on careers, employability and Artificial Intelligence.

The programme successfully shifted the career discussion from:

“What job will I get?”

to:

“What valuable tasks can I perform, what outcomes can I create, and what human judgment can I bring to an AI-enabled workplace?”

The special address, combined with the formal launch of the Placement Brochure 2025–27, made the programme particularly relevant to the institution’s placement and career-development objectives.

The programme enabled students to:

Career Day – Pragyurthi Divas therefore stands as a meaningful step towards strengthening the industry readiness, employability and career preparedness of MBA students at Gnanam School of Business, Thanjavur.
