Teacher’s Day Celebration

Gnanam School of Business (GSB) celebrated Teachers’ Day on 5 th September 2026setting aside the academic calendar for a day to honour the faculty members who shape the learning, discipline and outlook of every student on campus. Organised by the students of GSB, the celebration was held in the Auditorium under the theme “Honouring Our Educators,” marking the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the philosopher, teacher and former President of India whose legacy the day carries.

The programme opened with a welcome address by Kowshika of Keynes batch who greeted the faculty members, the management and the student community, and set the tone for an evening built around gratitude rather than formality.

Students of the 17th and 18th batches then took to the podium to share their reflections. Speaking on behalf of their peers, they recalled the classroom moments, the mentoring outside class hours and the steady encouragement that had shaped their journey at GSB so far. A common thread ran through every speech — that a teacher’s influence travels far beyond the syllabus, into confidence, character and the direction a career eventually takes.

The faculty members were felicitated by the students as a mark of respect and appreciation for their guidance through the MBA programme.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. S. P. S. Arul Doss, CEO & Director, GSB spoke on the responsibility that comes with teaching and the equal responsibility that comes with learning. The address reminded students that the respect shown on a single day carries meaning only when it is reflected in the seriousness they bring to the classroom through the rest of the year.

The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Sathya Keynes batch who expressed gratitude to the management, the faculty members, the organising team of students and everyone who contributed to the smooth conduct of the celebration.

The celebration closed with a group photograph of the faculty members and students of GSB — a fitting record of a day that reaffirmed the relationship the institution is built on: a teacher who gives knowledge generously, and a student who carries it forward with responsibility.
